Resumen
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that significantly impacts the physical, emotional, and social well-being of those who live with it. In Colombia, thousands of patients face not only the medical challenges of the disease but also a critical lack of access to reliable information, adequate educational resources, and emotional support networks. This situation negatively affects their quality of life, limits their ability to make informed decisions, and deepens feelings of isolation. In response to this issue, the present undergraduate thesis proposes the development of a multiplatform web-based information system designed to provide education and social support to Lupus patients in Colombia. The platform aims to facilitate access to up-to-date information about the disease, offer interactive educational tools, foster a virtual community for patient-to-patient support, and establish connections with healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content provided. The system will be developed using modern web technologies, ensuring an accessible, intuitive, and secure user interface. Data privacy and protection will be a core component of the platform, adhering to digital ethics and security standards. This project is grounded in scientific research and prior initiatives that highlight the effectiveness of digital technologies in supporting patients with chronic illnesses. Beyond being a technological solution, it aspires to become a social tool that empowers Lupus patients, enhances their overall well-being, and contributes to a more human-centered, empathetic, and inclusive approach to healthcare in Colombia.
