Resumen
This monograph presents a reflection on the study of identity from the analysis and description of images taken from Semana magazine and family photographs. The development of this work is based on the influence of the media and the ways in which the material world, appearance and customs are adopted and perceived, according to a specific time (80's and 90's) in Colombia. The concept of culture from the perspective of Geertz who exposes how culture is linked and exhibited to situations of interaction with the other, also taking identity from the point of view of Stuart Hall and Bauman, who define identity as a continuous construction that at the same time it is fractured and reconstructed, and the new findings and reflections in relation to the concept of woman such as those of Nussbaum, who in a somewhat radical sense, denounces and declares the treatment of explicit and implicit denigration that has been given to women for decades, among other authors, were the anchor and important support to address the issue of identity and thus develop self-authorship and ekphrasis of the images taken as samples. Thinking and reflecting on the configuration of my identity that begins from the time of my conception, and that continues at the age of 36, makes it inherently linked to human development from a continuous theoretical, symbolic and practical construction, through events. circumstantial circumstances that arise day by day due to my decisions and external situations. This in order to be able to become aware, control and above all analyze the actions that build me as a woman, a person and the way I relate to others seeking integrity and otherness.
