Resumen
Telecommunications are undoubtedly a fundamental part of the economy and the technological advancement of a country in addition to having a significant impact on societies modern, that is why they have been evolving by leaps and bounds since the year 1979 where the first automated mobile communications network was introduced
commercial, until reaching the present where, according to figures provided by Mobi- the GSMA Economy in 2018 there are 7.8 billion unique users of
mobile telephony and about 8,485 million devices connected to the internet at the world, exceeding for the first time the world population (7.6 billion people). The advances presented during these almost 40 years range from the shipment of packages of voice and data up to the increase of the speed in data transmission and bandwidth managed in the devices, evolving from the implemented technology to changes in the architecture of telecommunications networks improving the quality of service provided to users however, due to high user demand
mobile new advances are required that improve the time and speed of trans- data mission. This project will present an alternative for the evolution of
telecommunications, with the proposal of a reconfigurable network architecture that implements photonic devices in its physical layer. This aspect represents a change significant in the conception of the network, giving way to a more flexible compared to existing ones and opening the door to new technologies like 5G since such a reconfiguration takes full advantage of the benefits that provides fiber optics in data transmission, thus creating a new “highway digital ”for this new generation of telecommunications.
