Abstract

The acrylic industry makes a highly polluting contribution to the environment, due to the raw material: plastic, chemicals, solvents, colorants and other additives that are used for the manufacture of acrylic products, therefore, seeing the importance of This broad topic of plastics and the great pollution that is promoted in existence over the years, describes in this initial environmental diagnosis the environmental aspects and impacts generated, which were identified in each of the manufacturing processes and procedures of acrylic, was carried out by means of the ISO 14001 standard, matrices and applying the Leopold methodology, likewise, the environmental legislation that corresponds to the activity of the company was identified for the reduction and minimization of negative impacts generated in the manufacture of the acrylic. The purpose of this project is the responsibility and commitment that the management and employees of the company An Acrylics will acquire in the control and minimization of the negative environmental impacts generated in the manufacture and distribution of acrylic, implementing monitoring, inspection and surveillance, performance indicators, operational controls, environmental responsibility programs, participation of all in the company's environmental management department.
