Digitalización, catalogación, transcripción y análisis de música tropical presente en el archivo sonoro Antonio Cuellar

Abstract

The work Digitalización, catalogación y transcripción de música tropical presente en el Archivo Sonoro Antonio Cuéllar, was made in Facultad de Artes ASAB, Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. This document provides the sound digitalization of two hundred and fifty-three musical pieces belonging to more than sixty artists who were part of different tropical orchestras very influential in contemporary sounds. Similarly, there is material corresponding to the beginnings of vallenato where Guillermo Buitrago and Buitraguito are present with their paseos, sones, porros and merengues. Additionally, it provides information related to each of the digitized pieces, as well as its composers and interpreters, which allows expanding the pre-existing catalog. Finally, it provides the musical transcription of four important songs in the musical repertoire of Guillermo Buitrago and an analysis of formal, rhythmic and harmony aspects of the song Ron de vinola.
