Abstract

The need to reduce the impact of companies in solid waste management gives rise to organizations such as Garbage Zero Global, which establish a reference framework so that companies can meet sustainability objectives, which benefit the production processes and the image of the company. company in front of society, the environment and its own economy, implementing what we know as a circular economy. The internship lasted 192 hours in which the visits, audits and courses directed by the company were accompanied virtually. Support work, note-taking, supplementation of reports and the compilation of Latin American regulations for solid waste management were carried out. In the audits, visits and evaluations to the companies on the development of the zero waste management system (SGBC) it was found as a general trend that the organizations do not differentiate between the use and reuse, as well as the lack of photographic evidence of the activities carried out to raise the awareness of its employees about the SGBC. See carried out a statistical analysis of 20 companies in Ecuador using circular economy indicators, with a maximum circularity value of 95.75 for a company located in the city of Zamora; In addition, the current regulations related to the storage, collection and transport and final disposal of hazardous waste were consulted through the use of the Internet for 20 Latin American countries, in order to understand and complement the existing regulations in the country and the parameters used.
