Resumen
This internship focuses on the implementation of an improvisation workshop based on Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) and the principles of body connectivity developed by Irmgard Bartenieff. It is aimed at ballet and contemporary ballet students from the Bogotá Capital Dance (BCD) school. The workshop seeks to explore and enrich the students’ movement language, developing tools that enable them to analyze, research, and experiment with new movement dynamics. The workshop is structured in several stages, working with the LMA categories of body, effort, shape, and space, with a practical and exploratory approach. The sessions integrate playful activities, somatic techniques, improvisation exercises, and movement analysis. Additionally, creative dynamics such as “Moving Canvases” are included, combining sensory exploration with artistic creation. The expected outcomes include greater body awareness, expressivity, and fluidity of movement, contributing to the technical and artistic development of the school’s style.
