The program "Voices and Regions", broadcast by the Ministry of the Interior in collaboration with the Universidad Distrital, focuses on key issues affecting La Guajira, such as the impact of drug trafficking, corruption, and community-driven peace efforts. During the broadcast, Víctor Emilio Cañizales, president of the Community Action Board of La Guajira, explains how drug trafficking has caused violence, territorial disputes, and social harm in the region, given its strategic location for transporting drugs. He also addresses corruption as a widespread issue in the department, highlighting recent efforts to enforce stricter controls.
