Abstract

In my proposal I want to cover the gender taking as reference the woman, the feminine essence, from the perspective of a masculine body. Valiendo me of the stereotypes and canons of beauty that make up a female entity. The body can be reconstructed through feminization contraptions as masks with makeup, busts, nails, among other devices that can be manipulated and used by anyone. These devices resemble the prototypes of beauty that are presented today reaffirmed by the figures of cinema, advertising and the history of art in general, and respond to I want to fit inside these, but inhabiting them from the particularities of each body. The makeup, the masks, the mask and the disguise have served as Throughout history to subvert heterocentral gender roles, through these practices we create and hide our own identity, blurring the categories, subverting the norms and trespassing the limits. This proposal put into practice aims to vindicate the destabilization of the models taxes, showing the ambiguity in the processes of identity construction and establishing, in turn, new possibilities with strategies that they go through sexual undereicion and transvestism, giving way to androgynous and intersex gender relations such as woman / man, woman / woman, man / woman, man / man As for the assembly and technical requirements, I need a wall about three meters wide, in which I will install a piece of furniture and two pairs of shelves, on which will go on the one hand, and with its own structure, a natural size bust, which can be transformed by the spectator, and on a dressing table I will have masks, nails, wigs, among other objects that can be manipulated and used by attendees.
