| dc.description | La disponibilidad del recurso hídrico es sin duda una de las problemáticas actuales más complejas que afrontan muchos países del mundo, en la que intervienen distintos factores que van más allá de la creciente demanda de agua para el consumo, por ejemplo el crecimiento poblacional, la contaminación y la sobreexplotación del recurso hídrico, que generan dificultades cada vez más evidentes en calidad y continuidad del servicio de acueducto en muchos municipios de nuestro país.Este artículo muestra los aspectos técnicos, operativos y ambientales del sistema de abastecimiento de agua potable del municipio de Viotá, departamento de Cundinamarca, el cual está expuesto a sufrir dificultades en la prestación del servicio si no se toman las medidas necesarias para mejorar su funcionamiento. El estudio de caso permitió identificar cada una de las estructuras, componentes y elementos utilizados desde la captación del agua hasta los domicilios de los usuarios del servicio de acueducto. | es-ES |
