Resumen
The design of a virtual learning environment (VLE) is presented, whose purpose is to encourage the learning of DC-DC power converters in a power electronics course of the Electronic Engineering program from Universidad de Cundinamarca. This proposal arises as an alternative to solve the difficulty of students to relate theoretical aspects and fundamentals of electronic engineering with experimental development. The pedagogical model adopted in this case is constructivism with meaningful and collaborative learning strategies, in accordance with this, the design thinking methodology is proposed to potentiate the learning process. The target population of this VLE are the students of the power electronics course of the Electronic Engineering program from Universidad de Cundinamarca. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) techno-pedagogical design strategy is applied for the construction of the VLE. As a result, from the bibliographic review, the contribution of design thinking in the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking and 21st century skills is evident. The previous conditions foresee potential contributions of the methodology in the learning process of DC-DC power converters. Finally, the virtual learning environment is evaluated by pedagogical and thematic experts, obtaining satisfactory results.
