Abstract

TEKHNÉ Mechanical Painting (*) is a project that integrates two modalities of plastic representation, three-dimensional and two-dimensional; its main objective being the creation of visual productions in two dimensions, in this case paintings, through the prior construction of machines and mechanisms that produce them, which are part of the installation and the total configuration of the work. Basically, I start from the concept of "tool" in which my machines are immersed, and which is also of great relevance in this project. Just as the brush is an important tool for the painter, the chisel for the sculptor, the camera for the photographer, and the computer for the digital artist, the machines are for me. Thus, I propose a painting technique developed entirely by them, where the result is completely subject to the expression that each mechanism generates based on its design and construction.
