Resumen
The present investigation allows to publicize the potential that mobility also has on foot as the main alternative of sustainable transport within the city of Bogotá, for this it is necessary to evaluate the existing road problems that the pedestrian faces, as well as It is important to recognize the physical, socioeconomic, and cultural conditions that limit ordistance the population from their right to walk. On the other hand, it is essential to highlight that to achieve the implementation of this sustainable alternative, there must be joint work between the corresponding institutions and the public, to guarantee an increase in the percentage of journeys made by pedestrians. Bearing in mind that walking not only contributes to the health of citizens, but also favors the health of the environment, the final purpose of the document is to show why mobility on foot can be the main sustainable mobility alternative in the Colombian capital, for this the UPZ San José, located to the south of Bogotá, will be taken as a reference, where a population study will be carried out that will allow to deepen the perception of the inhabitants regarding the different aspects related to the well-being of the pedestrian, leaving for Lastly, the analysis of the results obtained, which will serve to determine the characteristics that contribute to pedestrian mobility, improving and maintaining a city less contestad by traffic jams and smoke caused by the excessive use of motorized vehicles.
