Abstract

This work arises with the intention of generating an aesthetic proposal that involves a collective and fosters the construction of a common identity; a sculptural object built by the educational community. To this end, it is proposed to intervene in a public space within the campus of the Universidad Distrital Sede La Macarena. The space will be intervened by those who inhabit it daily and traverse it anonymously. A place visible to all has been chosen, with the basic characteristics of location and transitability that enhance it as a space for aesthetic enjoyment, contemplation, and the encounter of "IDENTITIES." In this way, the artistic exercise is linked to the community in a tangible and permanent way, leaving a double mark; the first, that of its builders, the second, the intention of collective construction and the living presence of the Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá at the Universidad Distrital. The project's characteristics include the creation of vertical structures with modules of fired clay, each contributing a unique identity. The final form will evoke life, integrating masculine and feminine elements as symbols of equality. The theoretical framework of the project focuses on the concept of identity, highlighting its social and symbolic nature, as well as on the re-signification of genders and the importance of the mark as a testimony of existence. The project also explores the relationship between clay, the flower, and eroticism in art.
