Resumen
The image contains news about the result of the election of the Designate, who would be in charge of the Government in the absence of the President and Vice President of the Republic. Of the 90 members of Congress, 61 voted in favor of General Guillermo Quintero Calderón. The election is considered to be of great political importance and there is criticism that the liberal press did not report it adequately. Additionally, it is indicated that Mr. Caro asked the Senate for permission to separate from the Executive Branch, ensuring that his replacement is already guaranteed. Congress almost unanimously elected Quintero Calderón, General Commander of the Army, considered a valuable and fair leader, who inspires confidence in the nation.
