Los humedales en Colombia son un componente vital dentro de la gran variedad de ecosistemas con que cuenta el país y toman por su oferta de bienes y servicios ambientales un papel importante dentro de la economía nacional, regional y local. Con base a lo anterior, se buscara analizar valores de uso directo como indirecto al humedal El Gualí-Tres esquinas, reconociendo el humedal como un cuerpo hídrico en acelerado deterioro, especialmente por el desarrollo urbanístico e industrial, por lo tanto, en la Universidad Distrital F.J.C, el grupo de Investigación GEA (Grupo de Estudios Ambientales) junto con el Semillero de investigación Competitividad Económica Ambiental -CEA encuentra necesario adoptar medidas tendientes a valorar y reconocer los valores de uso, donde posteriormente se adopten planes y proyectos para la recuperación y uso sostenible del cuerpo hídrico.PALABRAS CLAVEValoración económica, servicios ambientales, valores de uso, ecosistema estratégico, manejo ambiental.AbstractWetlands in Colombia are a vital component within the variety of ecosystems and that the country has taken for offering environmental goods and services an important role in the national, regional and local economy.
