Resumen
The internship was developed at Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá, EAAB- ESP, in an environment focused on water quality applied to the sewerage sector (wastewater and wastewater discharge). The work was focused on the accompaniment and support to the PSMV (Sanitation and Dumping Management Plan), PICCE (Plan for Identification and Correction of Erroneous Connections) and characterization of industrial, commercial, official and special dumping; applying research, technical and operational methodologies to address the assigned tasks, using tools such as ArcGIS, Field Maps, Office package, IBM notes (internal business), among others. The main purpose of the internship was to provide technical and operational support to the company in the main programs and activities associated with the monitoring and control of discharges (characterization of discharges, PSMV, and PICCE), in order to contribute to the improvement of the performance of these actions in the company, which in turn are focused on ensuring the quality and conservation of water resources in the city. Among the main results is the statistical analysis of the characterizations, which made it possible to determine the behavior of discharges based on the users with non-compliance, those parameters that most frequently exceed the permissible limit, and the proposal of recommendations for the treatment of wastewater with these characteristics in the users. Additionally, the implementation of activities related to the PSMV, PICCE and BUSA made it possible to carry out visits to users, training, follow-up and monitoring of water bodies and discharges, calculation of the pollutant load of discharge points in the city and recognize actions aimed at meeting the objectives and commitments set forth in the PSMV, as well as to propose recommendations and aspects to be strengthened in these activities to improve their performance and contribute to environmental sustainability.
