Resumen
The goal of network management is ensured by multiple tools that the network functions properly and adapt to the needs that may arise from time to time with the necessary flexibility. It also helps control costs and investments made by the organization. Network management can monitor and operate the network, ie, can monitor it and act on it at will. Within the diversity of tools available on the market for network management process the Bank of the West has the HP Network Node Manager (HP NNM) for monitoring and fault monitoring via SNMP v2, tool Orion and the Articulated anomaly detection and control across the network to process however has several opportunities for improvement in the level of security can use SNMP v3 protocol, collecting QoS metrics of the current network given its complexity and dynamism as well have the same capacity for continuous improvement to the collection and modeling to the same checkpoints and proactive improvement as new control scenarios network QoS metrics. Currently we have designed a process fault management and performance to metrics based on configuration items, but put aside a proactive process real-time QoS metrics that can support decision making and improved operation the Bank network and the impact on service to internal and external customer. One of the most important challenges is to use SNMPv3 properly leveraging its strengths in security and maintaining adequate performance in relation to SNMPv2.
