| dc.description | Our research explores the body in transit within a mass-transportation system of the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) type in Bogotá: Transmilenio. Calling upon the category of liquid body –based on the concept of “liquid modernity” put forward by the sociologist Zygmunt Bauman–, we will showcase the interactions of the body with this mode of transport. Following these interactions, several metaphorical subcategories such as the droplet, the torrent, wetting the place, the container and the liquidated body, appear in the way that the denizens of Bogota live their daily lives, among processes of circulation, productivity and liquidity. | en-US |
