Detrás del requinto: Aproximación al contexto histórico, social y cultural, y sistematización de elementos técnico-interpretativos del tiple requinto en la Provincia de Vélez.

Abstract

The tiple requinto is an instrument that has been essential in the formation and historical development of the peasant culture of the Province of Vélez, linked to the torbellino, the guabina songs and musical genres such as pasillo, bambuco, rumba criolla or carranguera music, musical practices that have defined much of the cultural identity of this region and have positioned the tiple requinto as a relevant instrument in the colombian musical history. This document presents an approximative study of the contexts in which the interpretation of the tiple requinto has been developed in the Province of Vélez, the description of a fieldwork experience developed in the municipalities of Bolívar, Vélez, Puente Nacional and Sucre at the end of the year 2021; and the systematization of the technical-interpretative elements found that bring us closer to the characterization of an interpretative style typical of this region, a veleño style. The development of this monograph is based on the interpretative analysis of musical works and the realization and recording of interviews as research tools that allow us to document the interpretative treasure that lies Behind the Requinto.
