Voces de tierra, voces de agua: Canto semilla, canto corasol.

Abstract

This project, developed in the research-creation modality, arises from the conjunction of multiple artistic knowledges such as sound art/sound plastic, video installation, performative action and oral-musical creation, this in order to build a place for interdisciplinarity/transdisciplinarity and transversality. In this project, the role of music/sound within the plastic and visual arts is problematized, and the possibility is raised that these parameters are not perceived as separate subjects of the visual arts, but, on the contrary, can be linked as image makers from its structure and physical composition, and from the intimate and subjective conception of each person. The creative bases with which the project will be developed will be: Firstly, the construction of a couple of cymatic devices (which I decided to call “cympathetic devices”), which have the capacity to allow the visualization of sound. Secondly, an experimental laboratory, where attendees will be given the opportunity to visualize their own voice with “cympathetic devices”. In this, there will be a dialogue around sympathies, similarities, unity, the importance of water and the inner/outer nature (the human being). Finally, the above will be crossed by the elaboration and composition of a musical disc of my authorship. The songs on this album will preserve the personal processes and the paths that I have traveled in the last years of my life, the deep imprint that Mother Nature has left on me, the trips and paths traveled, the admiration that I feel for the cosmovision of the indigenous people of Latin American territory, the need and desire to share the voice and song of the heart, and the furious sensibility that has always inhabited me.
