The image contains a news item that describes the minutes of the installation of the Constituent Assembly on October 15, 1855, the installation of the Constituent Assembly of the province of Bogotá took place. The citizen deputies met at 11 in the morning and elected citizen Pastor Ospina as President, Pedro Fernández Madrid as Vice President and Silvestre C. Escallón as Secretary. In addition, the first member of the "Internal Justice" commission, José María Rubio Frade, was elected.
In the next day's session, elections were held for officials to verify the elections, scrutineers for representatives, senators and governors. The votes of representatives to the national Legislature were also counted.

A vote was held in which Juan Antonio Pardo obtained the highest number of votes, followed by José María Coronado, José Manuel Groot, José María Malo Blanco and José Joaquín Ortiz. In addition, a wide variety of votes were recorded in favor of other candidates.
In the session on the 18th, the minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Eliseo Sanor and Joaquín lFortour supported Andrés Sandino. Jacobo Sánchez and Ricardo Converse also had the support of 12 people each. There was an opening of sessions of the General Assembly and records of several districts were verified. Pedro Gutiérrez received the majority of votes and the session was adjourned. It was officially reported that Pedro Gutiérrez was elected with 12,487 votes in favor, while Rafael Mendoza received 3,621 votes in favor. Emidio Briceño obtained 214 votes in favor, Ramón Fandiño was supported by 8 people and Ramón González by 6 people. Ignacio Forero received 5 votes in favor, as did Mr. Justo P and Mr. Lozada.
