| dc.description | New strategies implementation to improve the usability in educational or industrial environments for people with physical disabilities is a complex process due to it involves multiple approaches for a suitable adaptation. The advances of these strategies often have to adapt itself to elements of conventional human-computer interfaces. In this work is proposed a machine design aimed to locate a pointing device in the user head without the aid of a third person. The machine may assist people with physical disabilities in the arms. It may also support cases in industrial environments where for some reason arms cannot be used. | en-US |
| dc.description | La implementación de nuevas estrategias orientadas a mejorar la usabilidad de aplicaciones educativas o entornos industriales por personas con discapacidades físicas, es un proceso complejo que involucra múltiples enfoques para la adaptación; el desarrollo de estas estrategias suele tener que adaptarse a las características de los elementos de interfaz humano-computador típicos del mercado. En este trabajo se diseña una máquina para la ubicación en la cabeza de un dispositivo apuntador, sin ayuda de un tercero, que permite que un usuario con discapacidades físicas pueda interactuar con el sistema sin usar el mouse convencional; la máquina podría asistir a personas con discapacidad física en los brazos, también podría apoyar casos en donde no se pueda utilizar los brazos en entornos industriales. | es-ES |
