Resumen
The objective of this project is to conduct a study of tree species planted in the southwestern area of Bogota, Colombia, in order to identify those that have better removal characteristics of particulate matter 𝑃𝑀10 and 𝑃𝑀2.5 from the environment. To this end, relevant information will be collected on the species reported in the official official Botanical Garden online platfomr SIGAU, including data of their growth, particulate matter removal capacity and adaptability to environmental conditions. An identification of optimal characteristics of the tree species will be carried out, evaluating their removal capacity, in order to determine those with the best results. In addition, the most relevant adaptability capacity for these species will be investigated, as well as the age at which they begin to remove particulate matter from the environment. The information gathered will be supported and validated through research of reliable bibliographic sources. This will ensure the rigor and reliability of the results obtained in the project. With the results of this research, it is expected to obtain a catalog of tree species with optimal capacities in the removal of particulate matter, which will allow making informed decisions in future planting and environmental management projects. It will also contribute to scientific knowledge in the area of air quality and the importance
