Abstract

The image contains news about Executive Decree number 416, issued on January 15 and 16, declaring the situation of war in the capital of the Republic due to an insubordinate and tumultuous movement that took on the dimensions of a sedition. This movement resulted in the death and injury of some individuals, including rioters and National Police officers. It is detailed that the rioters attacked police officers in their barracks, destroyed files and caused damage to several public buildings. In addition, more than two hundred women escaped from correctional prisons. As a consequence, the confinement of the main perpetrators on the Island of San Andrés is ordered, and the banishment of others from the capital, with the designation of places for as long as the Executive Branch deems necessary.
