Abstract

Road insecurity is a public health problem that leaves worldwide losses estimated at 1.25 million fatalities and is the leading cause of death in people between 15 and 29 years of age (Dirección Nacional de Planeación, 2018); Meanwhile, in Colombia transport accidents leave more than 7,000 people without life a year and is the second cause of violent death in the country (Unidad para la Atención y Reparación Integral a las Victimas. 2018). Similarly, Bogotá presents one of the highest rates of injuries in traffic accidents according to statistics for the year 2016. This document presents the resulting diagnosis of the "Road Safety Audit in the section in operation phase of Primero de Mayo Avenue between Street 35b SUR and 43rd Street South, whose analysis will be carried out between the 41 BIS SOUTH STREETS and 43rd Street South (K1 + 038 - K2 + 100) in Bogotá DC ", by SG VIAL INGENIEROS AUDITORES DE SEGURIDAD VIAL, in order to give the necessary recommendations to reduce the accident rate in this section. Initially, the description and general aspects of the study corridor are presented in terms of location, land use, stratification, processing and sectorization, geometric characteristics, infrastructure and operation; Likewise, an analysis is made of the conditions for the critical and risk points selected according to the accident statistics of the Secretaria Distrital de Movilidad, taking into account the different aspects that affect road safety. Finally, the risk analysis is presented according to defined criteria for the evaluation of threats, dangerousness and degree of impact, as well as the multicriteria matrix that allowed the final risk assessment, which is represented in risk maps and cards that describe the main risks Findings found for each study point.
