Resumen
In the ophthalmic laboratory of the company SERVILENTES LTDA of Bogotá, an intervention was performed on an ophthalmic lens blocking machine. The lens locking stage is essential in the ophthalmic lens manufacturing process, this consists of joining the base lens to a support piece that allows it to be attached to the other machines in the process; This operation is performed from a machine that injects a low melting point alloy. The intervened machine was constituted by a temperature control system that presented serious problems in its operation, having as cause The main fault of its control circuits. In this project the technological reconversion of the temperature control system of the blocking machine was executed. For this, a closed loop ON / OFF temperature control system was implemented using the PSoC 5LP prototype development card as a controller and integrating 7 temperature sensors of 3 different types: the PT100 resistive temperature sensor, 4 type J thermocouples and 2 LM35 sensors for cold junction compensation. With this new temperature control system, the tank and the injectors of the machine keep the working temperature with the required stability and therefore the correct operation of the machine is guaranteed. With the implementation of this work, it has been possible to extend the useful life of the intervened machine and increase the capacity of the blocking stage.
