Abstract

The present work is the result of the process of learning and exploring the artistic possibilities of the graphic narrative, and of the contemporary language that has developed. The research and analysis of the creative process starts from the accomplishment of a literary adaptation which allows to bridge the gap between literature and image, the development of artistic work and the process of adaptation, interpretation and creation is then developed and reflected which Leads us on different paths, arriving at some conclusions; Unveiling the possibilities of graphic storytelling and understanding through experience and research an artistic practice that has gradually gained an important place within the artistic world. This is how the creation of the artistic practice of graphic storytelling is taken as a powerful medium that is capable of portraying any situation that the artist has the imagination to produce. The most important aspect to deal with in the graphic narrative is the artistic aspect since the border between the art and the expressions of the masses has been disappearing. Today even sketches, drawings, pages and graphic novels are increasingly shown in artistic circuits where some years ago it was impossible for them to appear. More and more artists work in the development of graphic narratives, and there are numerous academic publications on graphic storytelling, highlighting their historical, social and cultural importance. This has given the graphic narrative a place as an artistic medium and a more serious treatment, where some creations are already considered as artistic works, literary, and a form of individual expression. Current readers of graphic narratives are looking for an elaborate, high-quality work that brings together the graphic and the narrative. The artistic potential of this practice is in its peak and will be developed since the artists have the interest to create a work above average and assume the challenge that the artistic possibilities of the graphical narration present to them, is the aim of this work I will approach the language of the graphic story and thus be able to come to understand its artistic possibilities starting from the adaptation as a beginning to in the future to be able to understand the creative possibilities of graphic storytelling.
