Resumen
Achiara's bread rolls are a typical colombian product and their commercialization has grown as a snack in recent years. In Bogota City some companies distribute this product, among which are Achiras del Huila, Achiras Celio, Achiras Giganteñas and Productos Ramo S.A.S. The process of industrialization has caused the product to lose its original and typical features in flavour and texture from the Huila region. The objective of this study is making an analysis for starting up a factory based business of Achiara's bread rolls in Bogota with the purpose of creating a product with the typical features of flavour and texture, with high quality and suitable costs. This analysis is made with the next method: a market research (primary and secondary), technical study (product design, personal required, process design, factory and equipment design), a management and financial study with indicators (IRR, NPV and Payback) to identify the project profitability considering the investment value. The market study shows that Achiara's bread rolls sold in Bogota do not have all the traditional features from the Huila region, creating a market opportunity to satisfy this demand. In the same way, the financial study shows a favorable result and the indicators confirm that the project is viable and profitable.
