Abstract

Family violence has become one of the most problematic issues in society. However, traditionally, greater attention has been given to cases in which women are victims, since they are considered a vulnerable population above men. This work makes it possible to visualize that violence against men is also a fact and that it can occur even in a family context in which women themselves can also be perpetuators. This problem is faced with a series of stereotypes and perceptions that the patriarchal society has built around the figure of man, due to this, there are many cases that are not reported either due to lack of legal support, lack of resources, lack of credibility and even the fear of being ridiculed by being vulnerable.
