On the first visit, carried out on May 1, 1901 in Bogotá, the Inspector General of the Branch and the Collector reviewed the office's accounting records. The Journal, Ledger and Cash books were verified, as well as the Balance Sheets and corresponding vouchers, all found in order and in accordance with current public accounting regulations. The previous month's balance was $12,314.05. The procedure concluded without significant observations by the inspectors. On the subsequent visit, on June 1, 1901, the procedure was repeated, confirming that all records were correctly maintained and adjusted to current regulations.
