Resumen
A dissertation work which aim is to analyze the effect in the acquisition of english vocabulary through the implementation of a Virtual Learning Environment with the incorporation of Minecraft, with students from the eleventh grade in a public school (Colegio Vista Bella IED) in the morning shift. The present study was approach from the cognitive, technologic and pedagogic aspects. Regarding the first aspect, it was taking into account the vocabulary acquisition from the experiential theory (Gee, 2005). On the technological aspect, the design, implementation and validation processes of the environment were guided by the instructional designed ADDIE. Finally, the pedagogic and didactic proposal was carried out through the communicative approach.
