Digitalización y catalogación de expresiones sonoras etnográficas de Colombia y presencia del trombón y el bombardino en el archivo sonoro Antonio Cuellar

Abstract

The work Digitization and cataloguing of ethnographic sound expressions of Colombia and presence of trombone and bombardino in the Antonio Cuéllar sound archive, aims to contribute to preserving this legacy and its sound richness for memory, research, musical and cultural enrichment, providing the digitization and cataloguing of 409 musical pieces. Part of the work is based on the digitization and cataloguing of sound expressions from different regions of Colombia that are embodied in analog discs that were produced from field records captured in important festivals, national competitions and in the regions themselves. The selection of these recordings was developed in collaboration with the Colcultura Music Documentation Center and the sponsorship of Pro Culture and Telecom for publication in the 1980s and were printed on 33 and 33 1/3 RPM format discs. The second part of the work focuses on the digitization and cataloguing of Colombian commercial dance music from the fifties to the eighties, where wind instruments have a particular performance for my training and musical work. From the digitized recordings I contribute the transcription and musical analysis of some improvisations performed in the bombardino.
