Resumen
The project will be carried out in order to determine which are the areas with potentially developable land within the municipalities contained in Bogota region (excluding Bogota D.C., due to its advanced state of urbanization). Bogota region is defined as the area of land comprising the city of Bogota and twenty surrounding municipalities that are part of the social and economic dynamics of the same. Since the supply of land for development is restricted in the study region, it is necessary to quantify the available areas where urbanization is possible. Due to the accelerated urbanization processes presented by the metropolitan region of Bogota, inadequate forms of land occupation have been generated, which cause problematic facts at the environmental and social level, so it is necessary to determine the areas where there is actually land for urbanization, by conducting a spatial analysis based on variables representative of the phenomenon studied. A hierarchical analysis process will be applied to determine the areas susceptible to urbanization in the municipalities contained in the Bogotá Region, excluding the city of Bogotá. The spatial analysis will be carried out with the determination of representative variables of the study phenomenon, followed by the application of a process of hierarchical analysis and weighted sum, to finally determine whether or not there is spatial correlation between the selected variables. The results of the analysis can be consulted by accessing the geo portal of the spatial data infrastructure of Cundinamarca (IDE Cundinamarca). The results of this analysis can be considered as support for making better decisions and solving problems involving the creation, formulation of zonal plans, land use planning or any type of program focused on urban growth organized and sustainable according to the dynamics of population growth. In this way the information can be consulted in the geoportal of the spatial data infrastructure of the government of Cundinamarca (IDE Cundinamarca) and be used as a reference with similar studies or seeking to explain phenomena of this type.
