The use of nanoparticles has become highly relevant in science and technology, especially in biomedicine, due to their physicochemical properties resulting from their nanometric scale. Properties such as the ratio between surface area and volume, high reactivity, and specific optical and thermal behaviors enable the development of advanced applications in drug delivery, imaging, diagnosis, therapy, and disease prevention. In the context of nanomedicine, nanoparticles have been extensively studied due to their ability to interact efficiently with cellular structures by crossing biological barriers and transporting bioactive agents to specific sites in the body. Progress has been made in these studies by attempting to increase the selectivity of treatment, minimize the toxicity generated by their use, and take advantage of the bioavailability of therapeutic compounds
