Abstract

The image contains news about agreement number 19 of 1892, by which a contract with the Lighting Company using gas is approved. This agreement grants the company the exclusive privilege for 30 years to manufacture, use and sell gas for lighting and fuel in the city of Bogotá and its surroundings. It is clarified that this privilege does not prevent the use of other lighting or fuel methods, but rather refers specifically to the gas manufactured by said company. In addition, it is established that the company, because it is of public utility, can request the expropriation of land, buildings and objects necessary in accordance with the laws to place pipes in streets, squares and other public roads. In summary, this agreement seeks to promote the development of gas infrastructure in the city and guarantee the supply of this service to the population for a certain period of time.
