Resumen
In this edition of Tripulantes, participants Juan Diego, Mario, Ana María, and Nicolás delve into the fascinating world of the bicycle as a means of transportation, especially for children in Bogotá. From their own experiences with undersized bicycles to the challenges of urban mobility, the young people explore the pros and cons of this mode of transportation, highlighting its speed, positive ecological impact, and the exercise it offers, while also pointing out aspects such as physical wear and tear, accidents, and dirty chains. The program highlights government initiatives such as the bike lane, the night bike route, and public bicycles, praising their potential to ease city congestion and promote sustainability. Through reports from Germany and Argentina, global experiences with bicycles are compared, revealing how in Cologne it is a popular means of transportation for short distances, and in Buenos Aires the "EcoBici" system facilitates sustainable tourism. Finally, "Crew" offers safety tips for cyclists and promotes the IDRD's "To School by Bike" program, which seeks to encourage bicycle use among students, highlighting the importance of civic culture for harmonious coexistence on the roads.
