Dear reader, the book you have in your hands is the fruit of a research work that aims to deconstruct the concept of reading pedagogy in a long-term journey whose corpus is made up of a series of canonical texts. This book provides language researchers with instruments for the reconstruction of an opaque concept such as the pedagogy of reading, seen from another place such as the canonical texts in which the image of the hero Robinson Crusoe is always present. We invite you to observe how the emergence of statements related to pedagogy and reading strengthens the educational field more and more every day in the public and private spheres, both in Europe and in Latin America until reaching a historical position: reading, reader, reading, didactics, learning and other words that, although opaque, are part of the dictionary of language teachers and researchers.
