Abstract

The program "Voices and Regions" is an initiative of the Colombian Ministry of the Interior, specifically of the Directorate for Citizen Participation and Community Action. In this episode, Marina Jiménez Buitrago, president of the Society for Public Improvements of Manizales, is interviewed. She discusses issues related to civic behavior, the management of public space, and the promotion of civic culture. Problems such as the occupation of public space by informal vendors and the need to harmonize interests between formal and informal merchants are addressed. The importance of the Territorial Planning Plan (POT) and the inclusion of people with disabilities in urban planning are also highlighted.
