Sistema de información geográfica para la agricultura urbana y periurbana agroecológica elaborada en el Jardín Botánico José celestino Mutis

Abstract

The internship degree work titled "Geographic Information System for Agroecological Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture elaborated in the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden" updated the cartography of the location of the assisted urban gardens in each of the nine locations worked, and generated new Thematic cartography framed in climatological, topological variables, among others. It was taken into account for the local cartography, the database in elaborated and filled by the urban agriculture project, with specific information of each of the assisted gardens, which was updated monthly. The thematic cartography was elaborated based on the request of the primary information required to public entities, which was processed and mapped. Thanks to these activities, the behavior of the orchards was compared locally with respect to each of the variables managed in the database of the urban agriculture project. For the thematic cartography the analysis was elaborated for the whole of the city of Bogotá, grouped by localities, highlighting in each specific case opportunities and threats in these.
