| dc.description | Before writing his doctoral thesis entitled “Gender and Destiny: the Greek tragedy in Colombia”, Sandro Romero Rey had made an extensive study on the presence of Greek tragedy throughout the history of world cinema.Apparently, the languages of the so-called “seventh art” quarrel with the spe-cificities of the theater, and somehow the works of Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides were presented as the most distant models to be translated through the gaze of the camera.In the present study, the different mechanisms from which the oldest form of western dramaturgy has been interpreted on the screens are discussed.The whole of this text ser-ved as final work for Romero Rey`s Masters in the University of Paris VIII. | en-US |
| dc.description | Antes de la escritura de su tesis doctoral titulada “Género y destino: la tragedia griega en Colombia”, Sandro Romero Rey había realizado un extenso estudio sobre la presencia de la tragedia griega a lo largo de la historia del cine mundial. En aparien-cia, los lenguajes del llamado “séptimo arte” reñían con las especificidades del teatro y, de alguna manera, las obras de Esquilo, Sófocles o Eurípides se presentaban como los modelos más lejanos de traducirse a través de la mirada de las cámaras. | es-ES |
