Electroósmosis para mejoramiento de suelos finos ubicados en Barbosa Santander

Abstract

In this degree work, the theoretical-practical basis was presented that allowed establishing the improvement of fine soils, more specifically, of a saturated clay soil to which the electroosmosis process was carried out, which consisted of applying electrical charges to the soil. to generate a movement of water and, in this way, the pore pressure and the moisture content of the soil were reduced, achieving an improvement in the ultimate load of the soil. For this process, it was required to take an initial soil sample, which determined the characteristics of the soil before carrying out the electro-osmosis process, in order to have a point of comparison after the procedure was carried out and in this way, new soil results were found after improvement. Finally, clear criteria and processes were established for the largerscale application of the same process.
