Resumen
In the context of environmental management in the hydrocarbon industry, the implementation of technological solutions emerges as an essential component to address specific challenges. This document details the construction of the EcoOil Web GeoVisor, designed to identify, evaluate and prioritize inactive locations in the hydrocarbon industry, with the objective of facilitating their effective and sustainable ecological restoration in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, Meta. It focuses particularly on the hydrocarbon contracts denominated as Projects of National and Strategic Interest (PINES) "RUBIALES" and "CAÑO SUR". The lack of efficient tools to manage abandoned areas in the hydrocarbon industry has resulted in a lack of environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance, which can lead to economic sanctions. Given the environmental complexity associated with hydrocarbon exploitation, the absence of solutions has led to difficulties in decision making and potential non-compliance. The EcoOil Web GeoViewer, developed using the Scrum methodology, has allowed building a robust geodatabase and deploying it in ArcGIS Experience Builder, providing a customized user interface. This tool has proven to improve environmental management in the hydrocarbon sector, reducing legal and environmental risks for companies. The evaluation of Geovisor reveals a positive assessment by users in terms of usability and functionality, highlighting its capacity to centralize information and contribute to decision making by hydrocarbon company officials.
