Resumen
The Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (UDFJC) is a benchmark in higher education in Colombia, standing out for its contribution to the scientific, technological and social development of the country, in its constant search for excellence and efficiency, faces the challenge of modernizing the management of its infrastructure. In response to this need, the Infrastructure Office, according to agreement No. 013 of 2023, is responsible for maintaining and preserving adequate spaces for the academic-administrative community through preventive and corrective maintenance work at its various sites. However, the lack of data makes it difficult to make informed decisions and limits the ability to plan and respond to maintenance and improvement needs. To address these challenges, we propose the structuring of a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS), which is composed of an interface capable of integrating a Geographic Information System, non-spatial databases and an embedded reporting system. These tools will allow for detailed visualization and efficient analysis of the infrastructure, thus facilitating better planning and resource management. The pilot plan focuses on the development of an SDSS for the Aduanilla de Paiba headquarters, with specific objectives that include the creation of a spatial database, a GIS at architectural scale and a photographic and documentary repository. The methodology adopted covers from the definition of requirements to the implementation and training in the use of the system. The implementation of the SDSS proves to be a fundamental tool for the efficient management of the university infrastructure, contributing to strategic planning. The quality of the geographic information handled by the SDSS is crucial to its success, allowing a clear and detailed vision of the university's infrastructure and equipment, as well as the identification of resources for future projects and continuous improvements.
