Resumen
The image contains a news story about the problems of pedestrian traffic in Bogotá and the inconsistency of the Police in enforcing the rules. Initially, the gendarmes prevented people from stopping on the sidewalks, which made it easier for pedestrians to pass. However, over time, the Police stopped maintaining this practice, resulting in the obstruction of sidewalks by pedestrians and people with loads. Recent attempts by the Mayor to improve the situation are mentioned, but without success. The author argues that it is necessary to regulate traffic continuously and firmly, with sanctions to ensure compliance, and suggests that the Police can enforce these regulations. In addition, a call is made to clear the sidewalks of the Market Square of undesirable people. News published in El Orden, June 8, 1895.
