Abstract

In the process of internships in the company JR LABORATORIO & CIA S.A.S labors were realized as the execution of laboratory test programs to samples of soils that were coming from diverse parts of the country, these were consisting of determining consistency limits (liquid Limit and plastic limit), to obtain the granulometry of the soil, capture of the content of present water in the material and the resistance to the compression unconfined of this one. These procedures carry out of with base to the norm INVIAS Section 100. Across the realized described tests previously and with help of a visual and olfactory examination, the soil was qualifying according to the System Unified of Classification of Soils USC, in addition the consistency was deciding with the percentages of dampness of the LP and the LL, the load finalizes the one that trumps the soil and the density from his dimensions and mass. During the internship there were effected labors of fingering of the information obtained in laboratory with which such graphs were generated as: letter of plasticity, curve of fluency, granulometric curve, unitary deformation vs loads unitary, all the these ones in order to see with more clarity to the type of soil that was studied and his behavior. With help of this there was elaborated the stratigraphic profile of the realized poll and was generated compiled of the laboratory results. During the period of internship there was executed the process of the accomplishment of tests, fingering and later delivery to the client in several projects located in Bogota, Vergara (Cundinamarca), Leticia between other places, which allowed to have idea brings over of the type of soil in different regions of the country. Initially of the internship one gave an induction on the part of the managerial tutor where were explained all the processes that were realized stepwise, showing the practical part as the theoretical one of what was going to develop. Inside the practical part of the laboratory and of the office, the skill was advancing as the time was happening. On having been in touch with the daily situations of the company there were demonstrated failings that exist inside the same, such as: the lack of a specific place to locate the records of perforation and problems with the delivery dates of some results of tests that were giving the orders to be realized to other laboratories for lack of equipment, for this reason, was realized like contribute the offer of the test of determination of pH in the soils to be implemented in the portfolio of the company, which alternative allows to deliver the above mentioned results in time and additional it leaves high earnings in relation with the price of sale and the direct costs.
