Resumen
Several environmental problems derive from the non-reuse of waste of any kind, which represents one of the most important pollution factors worldwide. In Colombia, most of the waste generated by households is of the organic type; however, the importance in terms of reuse and recycling has been given to plastic or other types of waste. It is important to know that there are different methods or alternatives for the reuse and separation of organic waste generated from different sources. Composting is presented as another alternative that consists of the separation of organic waste and through different natural processes to produce compost for plants, it is an easy process to carry out that is presented as a means to significantly reduce the waste generated per household. With the objective of developing a technological tool that employs the use of composting and telematics, the present project is proposed, which consists of the implementation of a container that allows obtaining data through different sensors during the composting process and that in turn allows performing actions through actuator devices that facilitate this procedure.
