Resumen
Current global problems, such as climate change, health crises, wars, and social, racial, and gender inequality, among others, reveal that local actions and specialized human, academic, technological, and scientific capacities are insufficient to address present challenges. Instead, efforts that achieve any significant effect include international cooperation in terms of collective policies and measures, regardless of the level of development, geographic location, or economic capacity of nations. This scenario has demanded the participation of diverse, interconnected specialties, articulated within a holistic vision of knowledge. Consequently, academic, pedagogical, and scientific efforts must be aligned with this emerging nature in order to propose relevant and functional alternatives that can contribute to solving these problems. This fact places cooperation and interconnection among specialties in a privileged position when reflecting on research in higher education institutions. 2.
