Resumen
The image contains news about the Circular that declares the Circular previously issued on December 22, 1842, which regulated the circulation of strong pesos from the year 1821 and other corresponding coins, to be invalid. The main reason for this statement is the discrepancy pointed out by the Governor of the province of Antioquia and other officials regarding the competence to qualify the authenticity of the coins, arguing that according to the law, this function corresponds to the Governors, Political Heads , Mayors and Commissioners of Police, not to the employees of the national revenue collection offices as established in the Circular of 1842. Consequently, the Circular of 1842 is void and the corresponding authority is restored to local authorities to determine the legitimacy of the coins in circulation, including those of the macuquina currency and others legal tender in New Granada. News published in the Official Registry. October 1, 1845.
