Disciplinas circenses e interpretación teatral dialogan en la obra Vitorino Figari o el vuelo de la jirafa

Abstract

The study of this research is the performance in the work Vitorino Figari or the Flight of the Giraffe, a dramaturgy made exclusively for La Ventana Producciones with the aim of staging the drama mixed with circus disciplines as a transversal axis. This document shows the step by step of creation and assembly of this wonderful work written by Santiago Merchant, which served as a pretext for research and analysis of the contemporary colombian circus in relation to acting and different scenic languages. It is a circus operetta of the police genre, created, produced and presented at La Ventana Producciones Artísticas, during two seasons in presential: from March 11 to 20, 2021 and the second season from September 02 to 18, 2021. With this co-directed work by Santiago Merchant and Erika Ortega, graduates of the ASAB Faculty of Arts, a large part of the learning in acting techniques and methodologies that I have received as a 10-semester student of acting at the ASAB Faculty of Arts is compiled, as a graduate of the Centro Juan Bosco Obrero trained as a Labor Technician in Performing and Circus arts where I acquired knowledge of different disciplines and circus techniques such as: tight rope balance, bases in hand balance, basic floor and aerial acrobatics. Last but not least important as an empirical juggler and unicyclist since 2014.
